Paul Kruger Museum

President Paul Kruger left Pretoria 29 May 1900 due to the approaching British forces. For weeks he lived aboard the presidential train stationed near Machadadorp. When the cold got too much for the 74 year old president he moved to Waterval-Onder, his last residence in the ZAR before leaving for Europe. 1km; 5min

Elands River Falls

Located between Waterval Boven and Waterval Onder, its 70 m drop is the highest in Mpumalanga. Declared a national monument, the falls lends its name to the two towns. Waterval Boven (Dutch for above the waterfall) and Waterval Onder (below the waterfall) . 3km; 8min
